    Is automatic still a possibility

Sure it is because Burnley has 83 and we can get 85.
So while it is possible I like to dream.
Just IMAGINE if we happen to beat Leicester (nothing to fight for) and Blackpool (everything to fight for) beats Burnley the it is Burnley 83 and QPR 76.
Round 44 has QPR-Watford and Burnley-Wigan - not easy for Burnley we could see Burnley 83 and QPR 79
Round 45 has QPR-Millwall and Burnley-Ipswich - we could see draw and a win - Burnley 84 and QPR 82.
Round 46 has Barnsley-QPR and Reading-Burnley - that would be a fun final day

Would be mate, but without wanting to pi$$ on your parade, I reckon Ted passing the Mensa entry exam is more likely than us getting automatic.

Good post HH9 and when you see Burnleys run in that was why it was key that going into the last four games we were within touching distance of them 4 or a maximum of 5 points off as I think there are plenty of points there to be dropped for them as they have done so since they lost to Leicester.

We however failed to keep our side of the bargain and Burnely can prob afford to drop points in all their games and still go up without having to sweat unduly

never in a million years, just as the seventh place club will never catch us, we wont catch burnley. Same difference, impossible.

Of course it's possible but it won't happen. Agree that if we had not dropped points against Charlton, Blackpool and Bournemouth it would have been a very tight finish but c'est la vie as they say in Peckham

Had we beaten Blackpool then I would say a definite yes but we didn't so seems very unlikely but Derby still in with a shout, this weekend being the crucial game, if Burnley lose to Blackpool I can see Derby catching them but the amount of chances Burnley missed v Boro suggests to me they will tie up 2nd place fairly soon.

had we beaten, blackpool, Charlton, Leeds, got draws or more at Bournemouth, Blackburn, Sheff weds, Brighton.
All recent games we should of got something from and games that Burnley have got points from.

I will allow me to dream until next weekend - I know it is distant possibility.
But I forgot Derby - they have **** teams to play Doncaster, Barnsley, Watford and Leeds

No and have to say Burnley deserve to go up. Done exceptionally well with relatively modest resources.
