Although it's unlikely that they'll start dropping points, we could potentially catch up with them they still have leicester reading, wigan, watford and ipswich to play.

We can quite easily lose 4 in a row as Forest can win 4. If Brighton win their game in hand then the gap is 10 points. We could equally mess-up staying in the play-offs as earning 2nd spot.

"Nothing in football is a certainty"
Does that include missing out on 2nd place?

Last time City went up via the playoffs - 1996 - that is exactly what happened. We scraped into 6th on the last day of the season, with a win at Watford, then we beat Palace at Wembley. Brillo!
To some extent you are correct, Mike, but the advantage of the playoffs is that it maintains interest in the season for a lot of clubs right to the last day. Last season, for example, we had to beat Forest at the City Ground - something we had not done in the League since 1972 - and hope that Bolton would not beat Blackpool - who had nothing to play for but pride. We won with virtually the last kick of the game, and Bolton could only draw. The most exciting day of football I can remember in a long time.Comment

Yes easily. It takes a second to score and a second for the whistle to blow for full-time. We have proven to be poor at scoring and we have proven we can concede goals. To factors which make losing a run of games easy.Comment

Vokes gone off injured. Knee in bubble wrap. With Trippier out too, their luck with injuries seems to have come to an end.Last edited by Brian Wilson; 29-03-2014, 12:38 PM.Comment
