Best and worst things about QPR

Best-The sense of being part of a dedicated and passionate fanbase following the club in thick and thin.

Worst-The huge sense of expectation followed by mediocracy.

Best - the feel good factor we used to have. The feeling that made me look forward to my Saturdays as much as a child looked forward to Christmas. The hairs on the back of my neck used to stand up every game.

Worst - all the above no longer being part of my matchday experience.
      Your mum would love me...

For me, the best thing is the sense of pride one could take from the many achievements that this small West London club has provided over the years.

For a club with a relatively small support in comparison to certain others, being the first to get promoted from the old third division to the first in consecutive seasons and the first to win the league cup whilst still in the third division,(First to win it at Wembley), is no mean feat.

Being innovative enough to install the "Omniturf" pitch, which was in fact followed by a couple of others, despite it not proving to be a success.

Having players such as Marsh & Bowles who will be remembered forever, even by fans of other clubs.

The first ground in England, (I think), to be completely enclosed on all 4 sides creating an amazing atmosphere for a ground with a limited capacity.

Being known and respected by fans across the country for the style of football we played.

Finishing top London club for 5 seasons in a row.

Being regarded by many as the best team in the country in the 75/76 season, despite not quite managing to win the title.

Having a player, (Bowles), who at the time was the record English goalscorer in european club football.

There are no doubt others not mentioned.

Sadly, the worst aspects have to be the total mismanagement of a once proud club with fine traditions, by a succession of various owners over the last 15 years or so, along with our uncanny ability to constantly find ourselves in the media for all the wrong reasons during this period.

I am probably deluded, but still live in hope that we can return to our former status and gain the respect that we once had.

Best: Watching us score and win, having somthing to look forward to every week, knowing that being a real football fan is more exciting than just watching man u down the pub, sod that...

Worst: Man u's 94th min goal to steal a point off us in our relegation season. 1-1. Dam them.
