Didums to people daring to criticise "uncle tony"
The scaremongering has already started with plums saying you can't criticise anything encase they leaveWe Are The People.....Comment

Yeah I do, I 100% agree... but those day's are also known as the "the good OLD days". Unfortunately football is all to do with money, its a business not a sport. Whether you or me like it, that's what it is.

Because he was bought as an academy/ reserve player. Thrust him into the first team, see him drop a clanger and let a goal in - the howls on here would be deafening.
Still, we all agree broadly in the direction the club needs to go in. Just think we should be a little careful criticising the owners too much for the signings. I for one thought Park for instance was a fantastic signing and if cd be bothered to dig out the thread from that day I bet virtually everyone on here was saying the same. From memory the only three signings I had a moan about for being past it were Johnson, Zamora and Nelsen (and I turned out to be wrong about the last one and as recently as January lots of fans were really upset that Johnson almost went to Palace). There's not much science in any of this.Comment

Agree. I also remember raving about Krankjar, I thought he was going to be the b0ll0cks but he's mainly turned out to be b0ll0cks.Because he was bought as an academy/ reserve player. Thrust him into the first team, see him drop a clanger and let a goal in - the howls on here would be deafening.

Hah, yeah I do think Harry has signed far too many of his old players, but I thought Krankjar would be the business in this division.Comment

FYIwrong players? Matter of opinion with a few.. Mbia, granero, park, remy, tarbs, cesar.. these are good players, just didn't hit it with us (remy and tarbs excluded)
mbia 3-4 mil
granero 5-8 mil
park 1-2 mil
remy 15mil
tarbs 10mil
cesar 1-2mil
plus others whose contracts expire.. these are assets that will leave us in a decent position when they go for us to re-build differently.
Big wages certainly
M'Bia and Park's contracts are up at the end of the season. Both players have been sent out on loan with M'Bia's wage fully covered, but Park's salary has been partly cover by PSV (cric 70% if memory serves me right).
I forgot about Granero - I'm sure has a year or so left. Remy has at least 2 years and Tarbs has 3 years left so both will return a nice profit.Last edited by Dazzer1977; 07-03-2014, 01:45 PM.Comment

You and me both. A little bit of me still thinks he will come good as he was such a fantastic player - one I long wanted us to sign, though of course when he was at Spurs we had no chance - but maybe like Buz near the end for us he is just all done in. Who knows?Comment

Yeah look at what Cardiff have done. Prime example. They've spent more than us on players, all are also much younger too and they'll end up with less points than us last season. Only two half decent players in Medal and Caulker. They won't have anywhere near the same assets as us.Last edited by Dazzer1977; 07-03-2014, 01:44 PM.Comment

a) Cardiff haven't "spent more than us on players". This isn't the 90s anymore. Wages are far, far, farrrrrr more important than transfer fees.Yeah look at what Cardiff have done. Prime example. b) We have virtually no playing assets in that sense beyond Austin and Phillips. For us to sell a player, someone has to want to buy them. Someone with enough cash to lure them away from the huge salary they're almost all on at Rangers. How often do teams try and buy our players for a fee? Cardiff at least have a load of players who might get offers from elsewhere.Comment
