Hello mate I do like flair players but I also expect a player to do the bare minimum which is put a shift in when out of possession (Giggs, Willian, Hazard, Tevez etc work in both directions). The frustration with Adel is that when he wants to he can do the flair and put the effort in but he picks and chooses when to do it which in my book is unforgivable.

I genuinely like the bloke and do rate him, although I moan and it may come across as I don't like him I moan because I can see what a player he could be if he applied himself, and evidence of this for me is his finest hour in a Rangers shirt at Stamford Bridge when we won one Nil. He never scored but he played up top on his own and led the line like a old pro he worked his nuts off for 90mins took the hits and played with the ball in the right areas (buying us time and territory) he was immense that night. That Adel I would have on the team sheet first week in week out as if the tricks don't come off he's still contributing to the team

But I ask the question those watching him at Milan say he is putting in a shift every game why not do that in the Bush??? If its because Milan are bigger and hes choosing to put a shift in, like he did at Chelsea, that's disrespectful to every fan and his collegaues while here. Effort should be the bare minimum of any footballer no matter if its park level or champions league

From what people say hes turned his attitude around and fair play to him if the penny has dropped I hope he sustains it for ours, his and footballs sake

To be fair mate, he did put in a shift in last season, under Hughes and Harry he wasn't allowed to doss around and had to track back. By his standards he did work his socks off last season. But we were struggling so bad maybe he tried a little to hard to be our saviour at times and came across as selfish and uninterested? That's the way I see it. Every goal he scored he'd run into the crowd to celebrate and when teammates scored he'd run to the fans and pump his fist...especially after january when we were really struggling. Maybe the prem isn't for him at the moment, quite fast paced and physical. My hope is we buy him back off milan in a few years when we're in the premier league, he'd have learnt his trade and learnt more about himself as a player by then and hopefully he'll finish his career at W12 where he was made really.

There is defo an affection there between him and the fans and rightly so that's not in question he's earned it

I just wish the Adel of The bridge turned up more often as imagine a player with Adels ability and the work rate he showed that night. Put those two things together and you have an exceptional player and a messageboard that does not argue about him as the arguments in the main are about effort and attitude not ability which is plain as day

Are you suggesting that sitting on the bench, watching Mbia fall over, Zamora lumber around and Granero being caught in posession may have irritated him somewhat?
