You need to look at the bigger picture when we were grounding out these 1 nil wins. The opposition we were playing and the luck we had. We should have dropped a lot more points. However saying that, I think we may have to revert back to the former formation as the results were there. The team Harry has put together is poorly balanced.

We are not in the same class as the top 6 as results have shown and will need to rely on other teams as we cannot do it ourselves. Do not look at the names on the back of the Rangers shirts as most are past their best. You need to rate them on their present performances not 3 or so years ago. Do not believe the hype of the press.

The squad is perfectly good enough. If we don't go up this season it won't be because we didn't splash out £8m on Rhodes or whoever on deadline day. Burnley and Leicester aren't where they are because of mad spending sprees.

This "we need to spend more money!!! MOAR PLAYERS!!" attitude makes us sound like Chelsea fans. Which is what we're well on the way to becoming...

Exactly you can play 2 up front with a strong industrious midfield but Traore,Krancjar and Hoilett are not and never will be

Clearly you are missing my point

It's more that you can't play 1 up front let alone 2 with no decent strikers... As has been said many times before.. We needed a striker BEFORE Austin was injured let alone afterwards..

We have 7 strikers. How many more would you like?

Listen to yourself. Imagine fans at any of the other sides crying about a lack of options up front when they already had Doyle, Keane, Maiga, Zamora, Johnson and that Brazilian bloke.

We just need a manager with a clue.

Yep hands up I wanted 2 up front to have a go at teams but we are too exposed with that formation so I'm afraid it's gonna be back to 4-5-1 with Morrison coming in.

Yup I would far rather have Zamora, Johnson, Doyle, Dellatorre, Keane, Hitchcockand Maiga than Inge, Rhodes, lafondre or vokes

It's not being greedy to want to swap 7 dodgy strikers for one good one.., shhhh it's getting boring banging on about quantity rather than quality

Great let's put our eggs in one basket. That's worked really well so far this season.

Hahaha and the 7 poor strikers system has worked wonderfully the last 3 games... OH hang on we only got 1 point from 9... Maybe not after all

We seem to have gone from one extreme to the other, 4-5-1 with te idea to keep the ball, lots of short passing, play out from the back and work the ball about the pitch to get the other team moving. Yes it was frustrating to watch but we were pretty solid and were grinding out results.

Now it's 4-4-2, long ball all the time (how many times have we just hoofed the ball forward lately and note that Green never passes short anymore), no retention of possession and for me it's no conincidence that we've started conceding lots of goals.

Ideally we should go back to that 4-5-1 to get that solid base back but loosen the strings a little but going forward, allow the wingers to take people on an get crosses in.

I would go with this line up from most of the rest of the season.

                      Green

                      Hughes/Simpson (if fit)
                      Onouha
                      Dunne
                      BAE

                      Barton/Henry (when Barton suspended)
Carroll (plays well in this formation)

                      Hoilet/SWP
                      Morrison/Kranjcar
                      Traore

                      Doyle/Maiga/Keane

Solid in midfield with Barton/Henry. Carroll to play the simple passes and keep the ball moving. Pace with Hoilet/SWP and Traore and that creativity coming from either Morrison or Kranjcar. No point in the striker coming deep just tell them to stay up there and be that fox in the box.

It doesn't help with you play an overweight has been in the middle of the park. I've seen my grandad move quicker, but hey, he has to play doesn't he!

We don't have the players for either, and even when Charlie was fit and working like a carthorse on his own up front.
We go back to 5-5-1 again, and we have no option but to play either Zamora, or young Keane.
We have no pace, too many over 30s, and no goals in us. We can begin to write this season's obituary soon, methinks.
                          I think that could work
