Nor did Barton as he made clear in public statements (unlike Adel). But he was under contract and we forced him to do so. No reason we couldn't have done the same with Taarabt. Instead we sent him out on loan and replaced him an odd assortment of second raters nobody wanted. And people are surprised our season is falling apart...

"Season falling apart" lol behave mate. I'd say we were in a worse situation in Dec, when we lost to Leicester, Forest, drew with Watford and scraped the win against Doncaster. We got through that, pretty sure we'll get through this "barren spell" of 3 wins 1 draw and 1 loss in our last 5.Originally posted by stainrodisalegend View PostNor did Barton as he made clear in public statements (unlike Adel). Yes, our results haven't been that bad. We won four in a row then drew with Burnley then lost to Derby 1-0. It seems worse than it is because all those around us keep winning.Originally posted by Jeems View Post"Season falling apart" lol behave mate. You are conveniently overlooking that our last two games - both of which we have failed to win - have occurred after the player who has scored over 40% of our entire goal tally was ruled out for the rest of the season. Even Harry has admitted it will now be very difficult and that the transfer window was pretty much a failure for us.Originally posted by Jeems View Post"Season falling apart" lol behave mate. Seems odd doesn't it, this ''season falling apart'' thing. This ''barren spell'' means we've taken 10 points from 5 games, and at that rate we'd get 92 points from 46 games.Originally posted by Jeems View Post"Season falling apart" lol behave mate. Cardiff went up as champions with 87 points I believe.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Fair enough but you are conveniently overlooking that Austin played as a lone striker in the majority of the games (plus he takes penalties) so is bound to score a high percentage of our goals. Prior to Austins injury, no other striker was given as much game time and service to be able to score as many goals, not that any other striker deserved it but you can only score goals if you play. Also the two games since his injury that we failed to win were against 2nd and 4th in the league, a difficult challenge for any team never mind one that is coming to terms with losing its top goalscorer for the season. Who's to say we would have beat either of those teams with Austin? To say our season is "falling apart" based on one players injury and 2 results is slightly OTT.Originally posted by stainrodisalegend View PostYou are conveniently overlooking that our last two games - both of which we have failed to win - have occurred after the player who has scored over 40% of our entire goal tally was ruled out for the rest of the season. Lastly I wouldn't take anything that Harry says in public seriously as he's probably just getting the excuses in early in case we dont go up. Last year it was the mess he was left with, now its our failure in the transfer market. He is never to blame. And I mean he's hardly going to turn around and say "yeah its going to be easy, Im confident we will walk it. The championship is a notoriously easy division to get out of so I'm already planning for next season in the premiership."Last edited by Hove Ranger; 13-02-2014, 07:49 PM.
