It would be a chance for Gianni Paladini to really prove to the fans how much he loves QPR by stepping down as Sporting Director and accepting a role as Club President and allowing Gerry Francis to take over the running of all football related matters.

    Come on-prove it to us...

Why not have a petition ?? If the various fans groups, websites + fanzine can agree on one - Well bang goes that idea !! and if the club ignore it, well, AFC Rangers + stick your season tkt/match day money into a fund and form our own club, coz the one we had would have gone - We could get some bloody good players based on how much people are spending on season + match day kts

He was manager of Spurs then, so that is real fan dedication.

I'm always surprised GF came back into the game, given he owns half of Bagshot and has numerous other interests and a young-ish family. Still, if it's in your bones, it's in your bones.

Ray Harford was a huge football fan but left a whole pile of sh.ite to deal with by Chris Wright, Rioch and Houston. Anyone attending any of the Fan Forum events Harford attended will know exactly what a fantastic football person he was.

Check again - GF was definitely manager of QPR that infamous night of the extra 9 minutes.

He did a lot of great work for Stoke last year and has forgot more than the chuckle brothers who we have here at the minute. A QPR legend who has qpr blood running through his body, and who knows where we might be now if the pathetic stupid board had not tried to go behind Gerry's back all those years ago. We played the best football under Gerry since 75/76 and those who slated him 2nd time around, no manager on the planet could have done anything with the garbage that he had to work with, with no money what so ever to spend. It would be great to see Gerry back here but doubt it very very much:very_sad::very_sad:
Gerry Francis the greatest all round player to come from these shores:super_man:

With Gerry running the football side of things, it would bring some street cred back to the club, instead of being a laughing stock.

A respected man throughout football in this country .........BRING IT ON.
                They seek him here.................

                    Yep, that's pretty much it.

I'd still rather we didn't bother with that layer of management at all though, and spend the money saved on paying a Sporting Director and a management duo... on a top proven manager.
Spurs finally realised that last season.

But if they insist on the current set-up, then Gerry would be ideal.
To restore some trust and credibility at least.

I have to add that it is nothing personal against Gianni... he has his qualities, and they can be used elsewhere within the club.

(No, not as a waiter in C Club. Before anyone says it.)

Sorry dude - Season 1995/1996 - Wilkins was manager. Dichio/Irwin og for us (depending on your view) Cantona header in 6th minute of stoppage time. Remember it as clear as day as the little kid next to me burst into tears.

Francis left in November 1994 after the Thompson/Marsh ferrango and was managing Spurs.

LOL mate.Thats one thing I do remember as it was only a few weeks ago.GP definitely said he would get the guy you're talking about if I gave him £4m, a quote he has since denied, like the porkies surrounding the "gun to the head" saga and the £1m offer he made for Hooper.
