i really think we need him back on board , be it general manager , director of football , football director of football , or even down the line as manager. we need someone that loves and knows what this club is all about and someone thats will tell the players to buck up there ideas.i ve gone past caring about playing stylish football , i just want to see players giving ever drop of sweat aqnd blood on the line,caring about this club and playing for the fans . gerry would take no **** from theses half hearted , over payed so call professional footballers , with the exceptional of a few.i was so pished off after the game on saturday.with gerry , we would at least know , no stone will go un turned as he loves this club . we need a senior figure , not young unproven managers . i hope jim turns things around , but the clock is ticking .

time will tell if thats Magiton, but at least with someone like Gerry you know he does care.

trouble is he couldn;t work with the current structure. Its not easy just to say get rid of GP, alot more to it.

but the board have to see , that with someone like gerry , they would be in safe hands , as with gerry has rangers blood in his veins , been successfull as a manager , a successfull business man outside footie , he would have a fair bit in common with the boys above. i'm sure there would be some role for g p in the club . we just need a football man and someone with the clubs interests at heart.not going back in the past , but if thompson had more faith in gerry , i think we would have gone on to better things as gerry had taken us as far as he could with the limited support of thompson and the board at the time. and even when he came back he did the best out of a bad situation , but at the end his hands were tied behind his back

he did well , considering , he could only bring in the likes of stuart wardley , jermaine darlington and the ****er i hate with a passion chris kiwomya . any manager would struggle to with the likes of thoses lads in 00/01.he did his best back in that period with all the goings on at the club at that time , only gerry could bring in a young peter crouch and get em to shine . i was so proud of the team in 99/00 , we did very well considering , plus the job he did well keeping up us the year before that

dont forget i live ten mins away from gerry francis and i have a reasonable
friendship with him
although im not one of his best mates he would talk to me if i turn up at his doorstep
ive asked gerry about a return and unlike venables hes well up for it and it dosnt mean the removal of gianni
gianni does a fantastic job selling the club and he can stay on exactly the same salary
he can make suggestions as to what the team should be and briatore can also make suggestions

this is something knobody can do at the moment because knowone has the confidence to buy from the basement

yeah crouch for 60 000 the only mistake he made was sammy koejoe but apart from that his management skills are out of this world but i get the feeling that the directorship are frightened of francis because he would just order them out of his office if they tried to overstep there mark

GF is one of a very limited minority of ex QPR managers who have a rapport with the fans because he IS a fan.I list John Gregory and Gordon Jago as others.GF personally looked up my phone number and rang me over the debacle of the extra 9 mins the ref played on the night we were leading Man Utd 1-0 only for Cantona to equalise in the 99th minute when there were no stopages or injuries in the second half.This was in response to a fax I had sent congatulating the team on a great display and bemoaning the extra minutes and asking how the ref could justify his decision to extend the game for so long.I've got a lot of time for Gerry just based on this one action alone.

To be honest, we've gone through 7 managers since John Gregory...
Easy to say in hindsight, but it seems a pretty pointless, very expensive, pretty destructive long journey we've been on.

I'd rather have him than what we have now, to be honest.
