    Charlie's injury

A deathly hush descended over Loftus rd when Charlie went down injured and the trainers were signalling he was coming off it was like the whole ground went into panic mode, you could've heard a pin drop, I've never witnessed that a a ground before, he's so important to us? without him who will get the goals? Hope he's ok.also need Joey back ASAP, Carroll was awful faded badly in the 2nd half never seen a player give the ball away so much,

Totally agree about charlie and the deathly panic hush, cant agree about carroll, thiught he did fine with no barton around him. Could and should of even scored his first goal for us as well. Wont be long till he does imo.

Carroll, playing in a team that's won four on the trot, must do something. I've seen each of those games but I don't know what it is he does.... Keeps possession, I guess. He rarely if ever wins possession. And he never creates a single chance for himself nor for any team mate, I know that. Strange thing that.

Physio said immediately suspect dislocated shoulder and waved to the bench for a sub. Thank god that decision changed even though it was Bobby Zamora's best game in an R's shirt.

Makes things look simple when they not always are.

            Keeps things ticking over.

Good positional sense and never hides.

Doesn't often concede possession and his passes are usually forward ones.

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Nope, zamora looks fitter than aj to me now.
I know its like saying would you rather drown or be burnt alive, but thats the only choice we have at the moment, and i think give zamora another try and being charlies foil, cos aj aint cutting it.
Bearing in mind this is only if our new striker will not be ready to start saturday.

Yea but AJ done well for 90 mins as he does almost every game he plays. Pleased with Zamoras contribution tonight as all I've wanted to see is some effort & drive & I saw plenty tonight but to replace a player who plays out of his skin every time he's selected is a bit dramatic for me.

One swallow doth not a summer make.

not sure we should pay bobby or johnson. Back to 1 up front and pack the midfield.....mainly because our central midfielders are average

Agree with most of that. He never, ever hides, which is a great plus for him. His character is second to none. I think he's a great kid. He always, always looks for the ball. His passes, however, tend to be mostly neutral and they are rarely telling. Bobby played two defence splitting balls today the like of which I've not often seen from Carroll (I'm not bigging up Bobby in whom the jury is still out). Carroll offers little threat going forward. And for some reason he plants his feet when he gets the ball and is wholly reluctant to run with it even when space is available.... He's a box to eighteen yard line player. And a bit of a mystery to me.

He shouldn't hide, he's a professional footballer. He does concede possession quite a bit in my view and most of the time in our own half. He gets knocked off the ball way to easily. How does he influence the game? He goes missing then pops up infront of our centre backs.....takes the ball....then passes it back to them or the full back. He doesn't drive forward and can't shoot either. I have to admit if he was a qpr lad, then I'd feel differently....but he isn't. Why are we wasting money developing a player for spurs?
And as for keeping it simple.....yes he does try to do that but for me that only works in a quality team with individuals or can influence the game and pick the key pass. We are not at that level.
