    Atmosphere

Is it just me or has the atmosphere at home really really flat? Away is fantastic and has been for ages, but home just seems no one wants to chant, sing or make noise.
Could have something to do with the Lower Loft being made the family stand?

Atmosphere has been poor for 3 seasons.

Family stand has nothing to do with it as the lower loft has had no atmosphere for well over a decade anyway

Yeah youve got a point there. What do you think it is? Last time Loftus Road was rocking for me was our promotion season.

Fans have now seen the promised land and are uninspired at getting back there maybe?

The best ever I think was when we played Oldham in the playoff semi-final years back when Furlong scored the winner. Never had an atmosphere like that IMO.

I'm sure It will get louder as we get closer to the end of the season if we are still on track for automatic promotion.

Also over the last few seasons, we have had players that kill the atmosphere, for example can you really get excited by the thought of BZ laying off a penalty or witnessing AJ being flattened by a free kick and thinking will he get up.

As we get to May, all these frustrations will cease once we are in sight of the golden gates of the premiership....it's going to be big.

The gold/silver/bronze ******** being brought in didn't help . Dispersed lots of people who would normally sit in the same area and some people were also priced out

                This.

Home atmosphere is pony - I much prefer away games.

The odd game in the PL (namely Chelski). But yea agree the year we went up it was rocking regularly. As Dazzer says though, that Oldham game was the best atmosphere I can remember. The ground quite literally shook when Furlong scored.

I think it's the way we are playing. Too many of our fans look at our squad and expected us to **** the league. Think a lot are underwhelmed by our performances.

Poor excuse though IMO mate, shouldn't only sing when we're playing well, should always be in good voice.

Mate I completely agree. But when ive been you wouldn't believe some of the negativity and comments said during a match. If we aint controlling a game or 2/3 0 up by half time we have a lot of fans who just.Get the hump and moan rather than. Support the team. It's a joke but have noticed it a lot.

that was an amazing night but I thought it got eclipsed by the 1-0 victory over Scum, I have never felt movement in the stand like that before and to see the gantry shake so much was unreal

The Oldham game was amazing, I was in p upper and thought the loft was going to collapse it was shaking that much the scum game was equally brilliant as 15 years of frustration came pouring out and watching their players lose the plot and bottle it is a memory that will live long . Loftus road can be ****** amazing sometimes

We have this thread a few times a season. Atmosphere was same as most games yesterday I thought.

Family stand being in the main home goal end does have plenty to do with it. Chants need to be picked up amd more around to get going...with family stand there it will never more from Q and R blocks accross the loft. Loft used to be be grat for atmosphere 100 times better than it is now.

What a lot of people don't seem to realise is you can't hear Q or R at the other end of the stadium, so noice needs to spread around or it will always be a dead atmosphere.
