Exactly. Quite a few saying that he has mostly been used out of position for them and may do well otherwise. Let's be honest, any signing is a gamble but I'd rather we gamble on a young player with potential than an old experienced guy that is just interested in seeing his career out. The deal that is being discussed is reported as a loan until the end of the season with option to buy for £1m at the end. Not so much of a gamble really.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him do well with a change of environment, but if he's on £38k per week as reported, that's a lot of wedge freed up for someone who is never going to be first choice. If we can somehow ditch Diarra we'll have a significant amount of money to play with, without weakening the squad at all in any real sense

We had no choice though in that matter. So makes that comment worthless.

Definitely not impressed with this. Love Harry but some of his choices in players for us baffle me. With out bringing up old news but would of much preferred wells than maiga and after seeing both of them and their records it just doesn't make.sense to me.

Cant compare someone in League 1 to the Prem though. Maiga scored 25 in 59 in Ligue 1 so certainly has the ability.
