Before I start not in the ITK but hearing Wellens from Doncaster (contract up) pretty likely and Jelavic looking very positive. Just post what I am told by people in football not certain but very interested, so no abuse if it's wrong.

Suspect Wellens, if it happens, is because Carroll is going back to Spurs. Seem to remember Bond saying in his press conference post Doncaster what a good player he was and he is only on a short term contract at Donny so seems to have legs.

If we're going for wellens then i'd say its time to give up .....hasbeen , past it, and no future...complete waste of money

On the opposite side was probably the best midfielder on the pitch sat got on the ball drove forward and kept it neat and tidy, if he was 23 we would all be purring about him

Wellens is a decent player, but that's it, decent. He's also 33.

Why sign him when we have our own players like Diakite not getting a sniff? Sounds a bit like overkill to me.

What do you make of Jelavic then guys? Not been that great for Everton but I'd be happy. If he hits form I think him and Austin would be a decent pairing in the PL too.
