        definitely agree that Mackie could give the crowd a lift and encourage those around him to dig in and chase lost balls etc. So although he may not have been the most skillful his hard work seemed to rub off on others (eg coming on as sub against Liverpool). would have him back any day in this league. better than SWP, Hoilett, O'neal on the wing and better than Zamora or an unfit Johnson up front

          Agree. He is not technically gifted, however how many gifted players are there in the Championship? Very few I reckon. Mackie will have added some energy to our slow final third. Would chase the opponents defenders in their area as proved time and time again.

              players like mackie should inspire or shame team mates into putting more effort in , i once witnessed JM run past 2 of his own team mates to put a tackle in ... now that cant be right
