I went on a few sites pre-season to get an idea how they saw us fairing, and on every site there were posts saying "don't worry they'll implode, as soon as they don't win 2 or 3 games their fans will hound Harry out"...great rep to have and so predictable it seems....some of our fans are a laughing stock i'm afraid
But being a fan of anything involves an emotional commitment. It hurts when your team let you down. It hurts when I look at my partner sometimes and wish...it's only natural to feel love, anger, etc. But to patronise genuine emotional responses is difficult to defend. Please give more detail...

Your posts are usually better than that Dave.

How about answering the concerns people are raising instead of just criticising them for raising concerns?
'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.

No, simply the use of the many exclamation marks and the style of posting. If you will see my other post in this thread, you will see that I am also against the "mass hysteria" that has apparently broken out on here lately.

              Chill out.

Yep. Maybe I'm misinterpreting comments here, but the critical reaction to our recent form doesn't appear to be extreme. I just see people raising genuine concerns because they love their club and can see deficiencies. Surely it's right to be vigilant and defend something you love?

The Tan situation aside, Mackay still hadn't lit the world on fire with his signings. Certainly not the astute fiscally smart ones that Roberto Martinez is known for, or like Seamus Coleman or Gerard Deulefeou (sp).
It was paying large contracts to blokes who haven't proven good signings, like 13m for Gary Medel and 9m for Cornelius, that's got the high pants chairman upset in the first place.

How would that be an improvement to HR?

Just to add my thoughts to the original question, no I don't think we need to sack Harry. Though I do agree that playoffs are not the way to go for us. We are a play-46-games-and-come-out-on-top kind of team, aka we are more consistent over a duration. Rather than a go-on-a-streak / fight-our-way-thru-2-win-or-go-home-matches kind of team. That's not to say that we aren't capable of it, I'm just saying that I would be very afraid if we don't get the top 2 spots.

You mean we tend to mess it up when it counts? Yep.
