Hated the new crest at first . Has really grown on me now , agree that the last crest was cheap looking (loved it at the time). The bottom one in Stanley's post though is the absolute nuts . Would be well happy with a hybrid of the current one and that one

What the **** is going on with the feather boa crown thing is looks like something Ralph Lauren would come up with if Elton John and David Furnish commissioned him to come up with a coat of arms for 'em

For a bit of perspective, Barnsley are currently taking votes on a new badge. Here are their options

Here's their previous badges to show quite how lucky we've been in comparison.

I would keep the current badge as personally I like it.

Think the last badge looks proper tacky although I loved it at the time

Tony didn't actually say the new kit was shyte BTW. Obviously it's a new deal with a new provider and what he did say was they didn't have time to make it exactly what was wanted (in my observation that means it's good but not good enough) but he did say that the next one would be spot on.

The new badge is much batter and looks fashionable as it represents the club shirt (hoops).

The 70s crest had the hoops ,but without all the silly bits ie the crown and feathery stuff
70s crest was a much better badge in my opinion ( and so was the Hammersmith and 80s badges )

Ill always favour the one before this current one because I was brought up with that one. But I've always liked the 75 one, its got a certain cool, simple, retro look about it.

shouldn't the producer be giving samples for the club to consider before deciding on it? Or has it been produced by some tin pot company?

If it looks as poor as last season's one, it wont sell.

The thing I find odd is that he said they didn't have time to make it exactly as was wanted but they don't need to go on sale for another 6 months! Do Nike design them one stitch a day or something?

bet it ends up being something similar to this:

Already in production so just need to change the colours.
