Yousef. Let me put up part of a post I wrote which will show why I disagree wth you about a 30k stadium.

According to QPR Report, last season's average attendance was 17,779. In year one our average gate would be 25,086. In year two, it increases by 44.9%. I don't know if this is based on the original attendance or the new attendance. The figures are either 25,761 or 36,349. However, the graph shows the real increases come in year four and beyond.

The report quoted says that Southampton and Huddersfield increased attendances by over 80%. For us that would mean average attendance rising to at least 32,002.

The increase of the 21 clubs with new grounds shows an average gate increase of 60%. This would bring ours up to 28,446.

These are the scenarios:

1. In two years, new stadium factor would put our average attendance up to 25,761

2. In four years, based on the experiences of 21 clubs with new stadiums, our attendance would average 28,446.

3. If our experience replicated that of Southampton and Huddersfield, our average attendance would reach at least 32,002. Obviously not doable in a 30k stadium.

If you average those three scenarios, within four years of the new stadium opening, our average attendance would be 28,736, close to capacity in a 30k stadium. It doesn't leave much scope for developing the fan base.

If demand for tickets increased because of the redevelopment of OOC, pretty soon we'd be calling in the builders to expand the stadium which would likely cause the closure of certain parts of the ground while the work was being carried out.

I think too many people are basing their opinions on what we are experiencing at present, and not the potential for the club's growth. We're planning a new stadium as part of a new multi-billion pound development in a catchment area of 1.8m people, not some out of town stadium in a provincial town.

All it would take is just 1% of that catchment area to come to the new stadium and a 2k increase in away attendance bringing it up to 5k, and added with our current average you've got almost a 40k full house.

Nah..respect your opinions but 40k is too big a stadium for us, 30k would be nearer the mark (if we really have to move that is). I agree with Yousef and hope it takes at least 10 years to build it and i am not particularly impressed with the fact that we may have to share it with boy bands. A football clubs ground should be just that and nothing else. If we cant afford it...dont ****ing build it.

Essentially what you're saying is you don't want us to play in the top flight because by staying at LR we simply wouldn't survive there amongst the big guns.

And what that basically amounts to is you do not want QPR to be successful on the pitch because you wouldn't want us to be promoted.

So you would actually want your team to LOSE a certain amount of games per year to ensure promotion would never happen, even if we found ourselves in a play-off final for example you'd actually be cheering on the opposition.

That is the only rational conclusion anyone would reach from reading all your posts. Perhaps you need to amend your avatar.

No complaints about the season.

Rightly so I questioned his performance as the Chairman over the previous two seasons in the Premier league and rightly so. I also don't swallow everything he says on twitter like some supporters and some don't like it when others speak out . You only have to read posts from the past few days questioning the mooted 40,000 capacity stadium as ill thought out.
