The fact that there's now massive pressure on us to get promoted is *exactly* why he isn't the greatest thing ever.

We're now completely fooked if we aren't in the PL, getting 30k or more pw, and dreaming of a Europa league run twice a decade.

(I assume this has been done to death in the 11 pages since this comment was made).

      • It says " current " position ,QPR holding to own the ground , i`m still concerned .

Anyway i dont Rangers to change beyond all recognition , it will kill what makes us special and unique ,plus the ground will be full of away fans and tourists .
It will be like the eighties again ,when every big club outnumbers us in our own ground

QPR CEO, Philip Beard, added: “We look forward to working with the Mayor and local authorities and we will, of course, be consulting our loyal and passionate supporters, as well as the local community, on our exciting plans early next year."

...so it sounds as if there will be a system put in place for these fan consultations. Otherwise he can be held to these quotes.

            • Being a QPR fan has meant being in a small exclusive family. See someone somewhere with a QPR shirt on and you give them a wink because from one to the other secretly you both know that it is ****ing amazing being a rangers fan and being part of this group of proper fans (Some on here excluded of course). That will all be in the past once TF and co start milking moolah out of this new stadium and start to fill the ground with tourists, neutrals and a new lot of fans "created" from the surrounding area and the new homes. Ex-Arsenal/Chelsea/Fulham/Orient/Brentford/W.Ham/United fans that either dont take football seriously enough to stick with one team or are just natural turncoats.
Saw a fellow fan on the other side of the high street here in Kent over the weekend with his older Binatone shirt on, gave him the "u'rrsss" as normal and got one in return. A few years from now will probably get a blank look or something in garbled Romanian/Bulgarian. Times change eh...You lot with the blinkers on just carry on following Uncle Tone and ask no questions and you will get no lies.

This is a good thing, they will keep investing in the team until we are promoted.

                  • I think all the roads will be named after ex rangers legends as well. Just see terry cinzano say it, and it sounds obvious when you think about it.
Bowles Close. Marsh Avenue etc etc.

By what means is the club allowed to obtain new fans, that you'll approve of then? Just out of interest.

                        • Its going to be a whole new town vblock mate. A new town in london all based and centred around the mighty queens park rangers. Just think about that, its mind blowing. You have to say thats impressive. Has any club ever invented and made a whole new town before? Are we the first in the world, and in a lot of the worlds eyes, doing it in the best and biggest city in the world as well.

...and of course there are other ways for the club to grow it's fanbase which conveniently you haven't mentioned because, again, it does not suit your argument i.e. the most obvious ones of a team that becomes successful on the pitch and thereby attracts new young fans - either ones who have moved to or grow up in the area, or from afar. Which is, after all, how even the most die-hard QPR fan become one in the first place as it gets passed down the generations.

I think this is more about your fear of the club growing and changing than anything, which is understandable when it's always been a certain way your whole life.
