Correct me if im wrong but didn't the press say that Les was known down loftus road as "Sir" Les because it certainly wasn't the fans as the song went " I "SAID" Leslie Ferdinand i "SAID Leslie Ferdinand,and it just got misinterpreted cos it sounds like "SIR"

Lots of fans must have been singing it wrong then...it was Sir Les, might have been 'Say Leslie Ferdinand' when he first come back from Turkey but by 92/93 it had developed into Sir Les
