Wickham is on fire, plenty of others are in great form this season.

You've selected 3 stats that Joey is doing well in, but omit 3 with he's not so good at - Goals, Assists & Bookings.

Obviously work rate is important (and beats Adel hands down) but if ground covered was that essential, Mackie would have been sold to Barca or Bayern for £40m, Derry would have captainted England and they'd be a statue of Gary Waddock outside the Springbok !

In Championship, Ince (as already mentioned), Wickham, McGugan, Dunn, Maloney, Eagles are similarly influential players in at least as good form as Joey if not better.
McCormack, Vaughn, Rhodes, Le Fondre, Pogrebnyak, McAnuff are good players and there have achieved this season at least what Barton has even if they are further upfield.
I'm sure you'll disagree with some of those - that's your perogative - but you'll also have to accept some are worthy of note.

For QPR, BAE is the best player at our club (currently) by a murder mile. He's too good for the Championship.
We have plenty of players who have more medals than Joey and more International caps, so I guess it depends on which stats you're looking at.
Of course, you could consider stats like Yellow cards, he's top of that with us & I'm guessing top 10 in the League - I can't be @rsed to check. Because stats can be read in different ways, dependant on your viewpoint and agenda.

He's doing OK, but I freely admit, I don't like him as a personality and I notice there's been little resistance to my comments about his off field antics over the months he's been with us or over the years beforehand.

I wasn't going to mention Adel, for the same reason you mentioned - he's elsewhere. Otherwise, I'd mention Remy also.
But if you want to live with Stats, last time QPR were in the Championship, Taarabt scored 19, Assisted 22 and was directly responsible for almost 60% of all our League goals. Barton could only dream of that.
Oh and he was Officially voted the Best player in the whole division by people who know much more about the game 1st hand than I ever will. So let's not just gloss over him just because it suits.
Yes he has his fault, too many of them, but as Warnock said focus on the good things he brings to the table. Joey isn't Snow White either.

The main object of the exercise is to get promoted get your head round this scenario.

Barton and Adel don't get on Barton leaves for pastures new that's why he has been playing out of his skin to get the move and the bonus is we get a fee.

Adel comes back because we all know when his head is right he can rip this league apart which equals promotion.

Harry took the blame for the split between him and Adel at the time because a lot of fans would have been pissed of if we threw Adel out in favour of Joey.

Also as a sweetner for Adel if we achieve promotion he gets to leave at a reduced fee,we are back in the prem Barton is where he wants to be and Adel moves on to where he wants to be
because if turns it on there will be no shortage of takers at a knock down price.......................and TF,PB,HARRY and more importatntly most of the fans are over the moon..........everyones a winner!!!!!!!

Wake up man Tarrabt turned it on last time we were in the championship and no one would touch him with a barge poll. Only the deluded few on here believe he can improve a team, no one in football wants anything to do with him.

Depends what type of player you want? Off top of my head your telling me Joey is better then Tom Ince? or Will Hughes? Joey aint even won a player of the month yet ffs (The mickey mouse air asia one don't count). He is playing well for us no doubt by the way. Also what stats you referring to? as he aint no where near the top of the goals or assist charts.

Not exactly.
Barton is not the best player in the Champs. IMO, he might think so. So might you, but I see better.
Neither do I think he's OUR best player. Only my opinion. Others have greater technical skills and a few have achieved more than him regards winni g medals and international caps etc.

But he is one of our hardest working, I'll give him that. But so is Hill, Austin, Johnson (when available).

I'll admit I have a problem with his personality, his history & attempts to reinvent himself as some great reader, thinker, analyst, noble spokesperson & attention seeker on twitter. (To be fair, I don't tweet) - i don't think he's a nice person and I don't much like him wearing our shirt or us paying him in excess of twice the average yearly wage each week.

He's performing better this season. He should do, it's down a level.
He was 3 parts useless in the Prem and he still gives the ball away or conceeds possession too often for my liking.

Adel ? I just miss him. For all his much debated faults, I miss his goals, his assists, the expectation and increase in crowd attention ehen he gets the ball. Doing somethi g with it that no one else can.
I miss the excitement - some of our performances are turgid.

I miss that more than I miss the Premiership !

I doubt I'm Alone, but I suspect many disagree too.
