  • QPR's Barca style of play makes the news in Brazil

The Brazilian website Globo has compared our style of play against Middlesbrough to Barcelona's style of play:

It roughly says we played beautiful football in a style similar to barcelona with th only difference being that we didnt score a goal from it and that we are leading the championship in our attempt to return to the premiership

I vaguely remember them being compared to the Spanish national team...

                          what they fail to recognize

what they fail to recognize is that if austin gets injured we are not able to field any cover in his piosition im thinking matt phillips was a bad purchase,we need to get more strikers into the club
                          maybe even peter crouch

Barca are a great team to try to emulate but I think Guardiola is taking Bayern to an even higher level combining possession with a more direct style too. Watching them beat up City in the week was incredible. I think it can scale and translate to England too - with players like Kranjcar pulling the strings and an Adebayor/Lukaku/Drogba type providing the directness. Combining the best of tikataka and pulse racing English football would be exciting and successful if done well and I hope to see it.
