    The Barn Club in Yeovil

Got to say what a lovely social club we were invited to by Yeovils ground and the people in there could not have been friendlier and just a shame they did not have many in there

The whole place may need bringing into the 21st Century but I thought it was a proper good day out - old fashioned ground and set up, almost expected the fans to swap ends at half time.
Biggest downside though is the way you don't get an atmosphere from the away fans without a covered terrace.

No beer sold in the away section, not even cider, what are these people playing at?
My old man was the star player for HMP Parkhurst during their successful and unbeaten 77/78 season.

Went out afterwards with some mates. Small town with not that many places to go drinking but really really good night out.

Tbh the whole day was a lot worse than I expected. Drank in The Airfield Tavern which was pretty much a family restaurant, bit of a treck to the ground where I expected a proper atmospere with the terrace rocking, only to find it totally dead.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

This is spot on. I was in the Airfield too and thought itd be bouncing. The atmosphere at the ground was awful.

I thought it was alright, however they did have a roof.

did you win anything on the bingo there?
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Not a touch on the 80's cup game.

Seems they have invited fans from every club to visit Yeovil but I think the LSA were the first to take them up on the offer
