Was very funny gator . Just pointed him towards SAE and sent him on his way . Think we do lack pace there but we look seriously solid and hopefully Ned's isn't to bad

I don't know what Brighton fans were expecting if they thought he was poor, Wayne Bridge must have been one hell of a left back last season for them if they think that.

For me he looked quality at left back a seasoned premier league player. It was noticeable how when he took the ball on he took it in his stride and carried it in one motion not like some of the other players who had to kind of take a touch to get the ball under control before moving with it

Think he will be a revelation at left back when he is fit

Looks like one hell of a player we have there.
Assou-Ekotto, without a shadow of a doubt, will be one of the major reasons we win the Championship this season.

Hardly warmed up when thrown on. Looks good on the ball but jury out on defending got turned a couple of times. When up to speed think he will be immense

Looked very good on the ball and his passing was extremely accurate. Defensively he was caught out a couple of times though, but let's remember he hasn't played for ages.

Agree with this - looked far too casual for my liking and got "twisted and turned" a few times - attacking wise, superb - defensively, I'm concerned

To be fair to him, I don't think he is anywhere near proper match fitness yet.
He wasn't used in any of Spurs Pre-Season Games, so it may take 2 or 3 matches until we see the real BAE.

He is a Great LB, and looks like he is willing to give his all.

His touch and passing was fantastic but got caught out trying to dive in for the ball a few times. Hope it's just a lack of match fitness!

I think he was out injured for a while, but wasn't part of Spurs Plans this season so wasn't used in any games.
We have a Great LB now who will own that position all season!!

BAE and Hoillet will be dangerous this season.

But let's not forget the Right Side!!

Simpson and a Fully Fit Phillips is great as well.

When everyone is fit, we have our best team on the field it's gonna be great!!!
