Cesar guaranteed a place in Brazil's World Cup squad

Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has said that Julio César will be included in Brazil's World Cup squad even if the keeper doesn't get regular first-team football at QPR in the Championship this season.

''Im going to say this beforehand: even though Julio Cesar hasn't played for his club, he will be in the World Cup squad,'' Scolari said.

''Among the three goalkeepers for the World Cup, he will have his place.

''Whether he plays for his club or not, it's not important, it's a matter for his coach.

''I like him, I admire him, he is really good, really good.

''He is not playing for his club for technical issues. I don't have to interfere in that matter.''

Good for them. To be honest I do see him playing his part this season but it's all down to Green... if he keeps performing well Cesar will have to watch from the bench.

This could be good for us too in a slightly strange way. As it's a World Cup year, I would've imagined that Cesar would've been determined to keep his place in the Brazil squad for next summer.
Things potentially could've got messy if he was on the bench for us all season in the Championship. Having said that, Harry said last week that Cesar is a good lad and I get the impression that he isn't the type to cause unrest in the dressing room if things didn't go his way in terms of playing. The last thing we want is for any of our players to fall out with Harry or any member of the squad. We don't want to see the dressing room divided like it clearly was last season.
Cesar and Green seem to respect each other judging by their interviews. So hopefully they can continue to bring the best out of one another by battling for a starting position and the spirit in the entire squad will continue to be positive

How can a SBC club having a cŁ65k a week player on the bench who couldve would've should've left in the summer but refused due to money be a good thing?

Time to farm him out on loan and accept paying a portion of his wages.
Even if we save Ł10k a week that's a considerable amount of Monet that could be used positively for anything from funding a loan signing of our own, to the yoot set up to a donation to the tiger cubs

Phil Beard needs shooting for signing off this contract and all others with no relegation clauses
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade denies reports that claimed the Serie A club made an approach for Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

Fiorentina have again insisted that the club made no late contact to try to sign Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar before the transfer deadline.

Guys we must stop saying the refused to move due to money, it appears that no club came in for him, Harry also said so.

There were direct quotes from officials at Benfica and Napoli

Well this seems like a direct quote from them also stating that no contact was made, people believe what they want in life so I respect your take on the situation, but I try when ever possible to base mine on facts.

but if he and his family are happy in London and he doesn't want to leave us then there's not much the board can do

If he plays for them like he did against Villa, they wont get past the group stages.

But if he plays for them like he did both times against Chelscum then they'll win it

He has had a right tickle out QPR. He and his family get to move to London and live like tourist royalty and get paid millions whilst doing it. He has to do nothing else, but enjoy London and count the money.

What about rotating Cesar and Green to keep them both match fit? There are enough games in the championship to keep them both happy and focused.

How about we just get shot as quick as we can. (probably cos we are the only mugs in world football who would pay him his kings ransom in the twilight of his career)
We never really needed him in the first place. Was just a pr stunt for me.
