Very good first half from Carroll. 3 or 4 good through balls into the box, one assist, got a couple of shots away, good creative passing, only Moldova of course but he made an impact and delivered.

Good example of how difficult it is to score against a ten man defence - England Had about 90% of the possession, a billion passes, scored one goal.

Wont be so extreme but I think that will be one of the themes of games at LR this season.

Never seen so many missed sitters in one game. Carroll missed one of them.

Hiis little scooped pass at the end to Harry Kane was superbly innovative.

no he was fine enough, just southgate moved him deeper so he was further from the box, he looked far more dangerous used in a more advanced role, seemed happy to create chances for team mates, quite a rare thing in a young player, overall very good performance
