Where does this leave Clint Hill?

Assou-Ekotto is great signing for this club but no longer first choice centre half Hill no longer will be first choice left back either. I can't see where Hill now fits in and as club captain who steps in?

Think him and Dunne will rotate and effectively share the captaincy. 46 league games is a long season at their ages.

I think Hill will partner with Nadum and Dunne will be on the bench.

          Exactly this.

Shame we'll miss his recent trick of blazing down the wing and putting in a great cross or scoring though

Yep I think some people forget how old they are and the length of this season.

Yeah agree with this. Dunne was clearly brought in for his experience and leadership as much as for what he can offer physically and he and Clint seem very similar in terms of approach. Think they'll make a good pair rotating alongside the younger Onuoha who can tough it through more games but might not offer the same in other areas.

Hill and Dunne are both going to struggle to play all the games and Benoit has had some injuries as well. Hill will play plenty of games, without doubt

No brainer for me id pick Dunne over Hill all day. Dunne played all his career at the top level, Onouha will learn more playing alongside RD. Hill top man top pro.
As for captain you would look to Dunne or dare i say it..............

Benoit LB, Simpson RB, Dunne & Ned CB's

Love Hill but you can't rest on your laurels. Gotta improve & we've done that. Over a season Hill will get absolutely roasted at LB, he's been lucky so far. Ekotto won't.

Remember that it is 46 games which is a lot and we can't depend of Dunne & Hill playing every game. Players will rotate I'm sure and then of course you have to allow for injuries.

We needed a large squad to compete and I think Ekotto is a brilliant capture.

I reckon Hill will start vs brum at left back but eventually BAE will get in. expect hill/dunne to swap in and out. as said 46 games is a long season.
