    Does 4-4-2 now become 4-5-1 ???

Delighted with our transfer business (would have still lved a striker)

How do we now accomodate these players ?

Barton, Krank, SWP, Hoilett, Henry, O'Neil, Carroll, Philips, Faurlin, etc

Does it mean just 1 up front ?

Barton, Hoilett and Phillips are surely certain starters and more than likey Nico and Tom, so unless Barton is off and we don't know yet it could well be a 4-5-1

might still be players to come loans, but either way need to be able to play different ways for different opponents. and periods of the game, switching between formations, 442/451/433 more options to do that now. in the end tho it is about winning and entertaining however you get there

With a 40-odd game season and half the squad around 30 or over I think we will need to mix it up a bit. That's where Harry will really earn his money IMO.

Harry does historically like his 4-4-2 with wingers doesn't he ?

Maybe Henry sitting in front of the back 4...

one up front and no room for henry now.

time to dust down that song about the best midfield in the world...

TBH. With that team, in any combo, we should spank everyone for fun. Defo high-quality strength in depth apart from perhaps up front...... if you were being picky.

But of course..... it's probably never gonna be that simple with the Rangers.........

4-4-2 for me still, it just adds competition for places and makes our midfield area strong for suspensions/injuries.

I'd guess our midfield when fully fit would be Phillips, Carroll, Barton and Hoilett.

Niko can play anywhere in midfield or in the number 10 position so he's a fantastic addition.

It's a long old season and players like Barton, O'Neil, Henry, Faurlin are going to pick up suspensions and injuries, we need strength in depth and I believe we have got that now for the midfield.

The loan window opens up next Monday and I fully expect us to sign a striker and centre half on 3 month loans.

You can have 2 season long loans domestically (Carroll and Benny).

You can have 5 loan players in a match day squad so we still have room for two more to make our squad really strong.

Philips and Hoilet are attacking wide players and those 2 with Austin up top carry a real threat
Krank and Carroll will create chance and Joey can sit behind
Away form home, Henry and O'Neill will probably come in to give us steel
