Urgent work needed on the squad

This isn't a knee-jerk reaction, the fact is, we have played four sides that are struggling in the Championship, so our position flatters to deceive.

Just because we have the best squad and are the bookies favourites means absolutely nothing, how many of Swindon's players could have got into our team, yet they still beat us.

We need to realise that we're not the best team in the league, that there are at least 4 teams better than us, and if we want to compete with them, we need to seriously improve.

Come on mate, something needs to be done, the past two seasons we have told ourselves we're good enough when we weren't, we can't afford to make the same mistake AGAIN

I have stick by what I said before that this team can finish anywhere in that division from a play off space to just above relegation. It is far from the finish product.

And that's what worries me, because we need a squad that can finish anywhere from first to sixth, and no less.

For me, the glaring weaknesses are at LB, RB cover for Simpson, CB, and up front. We urgently need to rebuild the defence and add a forward.

If you base the squad on 25, we need 9-9-4. Three keepers, two RBs, two LBs, five CBs, two RMs, two LMs, five CMs, four strikers.

We have Ned, Dunne and Hill at CB. We have Yun as second choice LB and Simpson as first choice RB. I'd move Traore to LM as cover for Hoilett. We've got Phillips and O'Neil on the right, and in the middle we've got Barton, Henry, Jenas, Faurlin, and Diakite. We may or may not change some of these. SWP may be surplus to requirements. Up front just AJ, BZ and Austin.

If we add a first choice LB, a second choice RB, two CBs, and a striker, we'd have a much better balanced squad.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

The urgent work has already been done. Getting rid of 19 players & a fair few high earners. Now it's touching up upon it. I can see QPR having a strong season but maybe the squad is slim. But the urgent important work has been done

QPR fans just focus on the negatives. All the time
                    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

We could do with a couple more additions but it isn't a urgent situation.

Starting line up should be as follows:

Green, Simpson, Dunne, Onuha, Young, Hoilett, Barton, Henry, Phillips/SWP, Johnson, Austin. *when all fit of course*.
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

Fark me we've gone from being the best side in the division on Saturday to needing a squad over haul after 1 Carling Cup 2nd round defeat? Over dramatic is an understatement.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

We're part way through the overhaul. Would you say we don't need to add any more players then?

I am convinced a few on here can't wait for us to lose. They have been absent when we are winning.

First thing we need to do is make joey captain and then hope we keep getting the gritty/lucky one goal wins till hoilett and phillips are fit. Oh and that austin breaks his duck before hes 30.
