Agree with the sentiment of the post though; we must be the highest paying club, athough I reckon we would be surprised at some of the other recently releagted side's wage bills n all. Plus teams like Leicester splash the cash a bit.
Fernandes may have said that, but I dont believe it!
Perhaps he was on a £60K per week basic, but I think he would have been getting his signing on fee paid in weekly instalments too (about £30K).

Stan Collymore was talking on Talksport yesterday about the way players wages are paid.He was saying that if a player was on 100k a week he would probably be getting half that as a regular wage and the rest coming in payments like loyalty payments and bonuses etc..

And that is why very few players put in transfer requests nowadays,as they would then lose the loyalty payments, bonuses if they are not playing.Lot more to salary structures than the rubbish you read in the papers, like Samba being on 100k wages a week.

Quite interesting to hear, and he should know what he is talking about having been a player.Would take his word over some red top hack.

AJ injuries apart has done well, think he could be key to promotion this season

We still have players that have done v little for the club, BZ, SWP and AJ to just name three that are most likely on prem wages...
To celebrate such incompetence is on par with bankers patting themselves on the back because the losses they made weren't as much as predicted..
The last two years has been a monumental mess and sending a player to Turkey on loan or whatever ain't going to mask that.
Fair points. How many have actually been sold as opposed to loaned or paid off.

Also emphasises just how well the team is doing so far this season with all this going on behind the scenes, at a tiny fraction of the cost too.

Yeah he's done all right in those 5 games!

He could well be key though, just have to pray he doesn't break down again, although quite unlikely

That's an interesting bit of info. I would also guess the financial people at clubs know the full liability of a contract as well and know what a club can and can't afford.

Which of course they should do!

Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Missed that, but did hear him tearing into his co-host about how long transfers take. Good presenter is Stanley.

Yeah,i like him as well.Plus he has played at the top level so knows exactly how clubs and contracts/wages work.

Rather listen to him than the other media presenters/journalists who have never played football but claim to know everything.

Some great ex players on Talksport these days.

I guarantee we are paying a good portion of a lot of these loan players wages

Personally highly doubt we are paying any of them. Just a guess, don't have any inside info or anything. Maybe any that go out on loan last knockings (ala Cesar) we might end up paying some. but don't reckon we are any of the ones currently out on loan.

We are supposedly paying 300k of Park's wages for the season long loan.

Who knows if it's true though.

I don't care so much if we are paying a proportion of their wages if I'm honest. The single most important factor is the significant improvement in the spirit within the camp and the desire of those in the current squad to play for and succeed with QPR. That, in my opinion, is worth a whole lot more than the money it may or may not be costing to achieve that end.

I think we are paying a portion of Park's wages, otherwise why send him on loan. He is out of contract at the end of the season and will probably be released.

Apparantly PSV have a salary cap at 860,000 Euro's a year and we have to make up the shortfall.
