Oh hes no zaha but then zaha turned into a very good young player because he started for palace in the championship. Hitchcock deserves a chance imo. Yeah maybe bring him off the bench a few more times but if he continues to perform the way he did saturday he would more than deserve a start.

Was anyone at the game that can report his overall performance apart from the goal?

        Yep - I was there...

He laid the ball of once very well, Chased the ball down like any hungry player and put himself about doing so.

And was in the right place for the goal...

Didnt do a great deal in that terms, but he scored a massive goal

Looked busy, chased down loose balls. Couple of decent touches.

What more do we fans want?

As long as he wants to be here and score goals... he'll have every QPR fan behind him.

Things can get taken well out proportion..

IMO - Although the lad did well and scored the winner.. I personally feel BZ offers more at this stage for us and that Tommy will struggle to feature.

I would have him on the bench then and use him like we did again - coming on when things look like they need an injection of energy up top.

I'm not saying Bobby don't, I wouldn't start Tommy because it's far too soon.

We have to gently bring him in, otherwise it could all go wrong.

Subs is the best place to start.

Bar disaster with our incomings I'd expect him to go out on loan again. He's at the age where he needs games and he's not going to get them here.

Agree- make use of him whilst our numbers are down.

Send him to a League 1 club where he can play week in week out and he'll come back a far better player.

Hes on a high, so put him on the bench for Bolton, start him for Swindon, then pack him off to league 1 on loan to get games.

edit:^or basically what he said^. I should really read all the way through threads before posting something that has been said before.

Seriously. Tommy did great to win us the game (Barton and SWP the creators of it.....)

But, do people honestly believe he will score more than 15 goals for us this season? Will he score more than 5?

Sounds a good plan. Maybe give him 20 minutes if the game pans out that way. TBH if people are looking for young hungry players then starting with the youth team makes more sense than spending millions on prospects.
