Austin and Hogan up top for me tomorrow. Hogan has pace and can finish!
Rich, with full respect, possibly the most ridiculous statement i've ever read on this forum....

      This is a wind up!

If you're going to play Hogan out of position, why not Centre Back?

You haven't been on here long have you mate?

Hogan upfront pales in insignificance to just about everything Ted has ever posted!

God help us if that's the best idea we can come up with. I can only think that he is still with us as he is young ish.

It's my opinion and I stand by it. At youth level he was a forward then various managers played him on the wing or even CM. He's a forward and has a decent first touch, pace and can finish.
Some of you have been blinded by the it time Charlie's we have had here between Hogans last game and now, Balanta is another who, with time had something about him.
I develop youth players and have lost 3 in the last year to Watford, Barnet & Stevenage respectively. I know a good young player.

I've always thought Hogan was at his best running at the defence from midfield. I don't really see him as an out and out striker.

Good reply mate made me laugh. I just know given someone like Austin winning balls around him and service from the flanks he will score goals at championship level. We have all seen it before when he was 20.
We have grown too spoilt as fans with the cisse, bartons and Taarabts of this world

Agreed. His level is probably league one

would that be the same guy whose goals from midfield at champ level got us up last time round? That was a player who really was class at championship level......

Don't doubt your ability at what you do Rich but you have to admit that the game is littered with promising youth players that don't amount to anything in the professional game. Hogan is one of them!

People on here talk such a lot of tosh exagerating how bad some of our squad players are Ferdinand has been writen off as being total shlt when inactual fact he played some more than descent games as well as nothing games , the same aplies to Hogan last time in the Champioship Hogan played well in quite a few games there was as time he had a very good understanding with Adel and supported him very well before he got dropped , Ferdinand and Hogan never anything more than reasonable players but show what short memory ,s do to people's judgement .We are no longer a premier league side full of exspensive good players but big time lazy shytehawks just get over it

Come on, the guy has hardly played for us in 3 seasons and in that time he has been loaned to Leeds, Charlton, Bristol City & Toronto, none of which felt compelled to put in an offer for him or even extend the initial loan period for that matter. As I understand it Hogan played 10 or 11 games for Toronto last season in the MLS (which is about the same standard as the SPL), without notching up a single goal or assist............and some are suggesting he should play up front today?!!!

The guy is pony, now let's move on!
