Sunderland keen on QPR defender Traore

Sunderland are considering a move for QPR left-back Armand Traore. Manager Paolo di Canio has made enquiries about a loan for Valencia's Aly Cissokho but Traore, 23, is available for £1.5m after failing to secure a move to Spartak Moscow earlier this month.

Sunderland have not given defender Phil Bardsley a squad number but he faces 10 weeks out with a broken foot. Tottenham have told QPR that winger Andros Townsend will cost £8million.

They can have him!! He's terrible at defending and he's far too casual on the ball

Where do they get the price of 8 million from?

Only worth about 2 to 3 million max right now.

          Lol
          Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
          And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Jesus, if he thinks life's tough now wait until he gets a dose of Di Canio.

Levy will get his money, all he will do is ask for £3-4m with 30 or 40% on clause,so if we get Townsend and he does well for 3 years and we sell him for £10-12m Levey gets his money, he done the same with Adel

Apparently Adel clause expires end of this season hence the loan

If we can get a fee for Traore then it's good news, rumours are that he doesn't want to be here and the guy is both injury prone and prone to the odd clanger. I hope Harry has a plan for cover for the full backs though, with Harriman out on loan too if Yun or Simpson were to get injured we'd be looking at the prospect of using Hill or Onuha at full back which isn't ideal.

I think it's just paper talk. Can't see Di Canio or Sunderland wanting Traore!
