    Is Joey Barton Offski?

With talk that Scott Parker is at HQ having a medical as we speak, I can't see TF wanting to have both Barton & Parker as I would imagin the wages would be astronomical. It does leave us with a interesting question, is Barton leaving and Parker his replacement? I would had thought Sam Alladyce would had prefered Parker to Barton but obviously not.

Barton has been playing out wide. And will probably remain there!!

Agree with the above - Barton to stay and play right to link up with Simpson

Mbia and Granero leaving would free up a lot of money per week

Barton has been our stand out player so far so why sell him as he clearly appears prepared to knuckle down and get on with life in the hoops.

Still think Joey would jump at a move away from loftus rd but he's not gonna get the £70k elsewhere. Funny thing is his recent performances have done him no good in that respect as at the moment the club are not desperate enough to pay him to move on. I've been suprised by his comitment and it has started to change my opinion on him but i'd still allow him to go if an offer were made. Atleast the balls in our court a bit more now i'd have hated the club to have had to pay him fortunes to go.

not sure why people are surprised. Have always said that no matter what is said and done, when he crosses the white line no matter who it's for or in what division, he is the type of player to give his all and be desperate to win his battle on the pitch. That would never change.

Anyone think Barton is playing the model professional act/playing well just to try and get a move before the end of the transfer window? Anyone think if he doesn't get a move when the window closes he'll revert to type and start being a tw*t again?

I disagree. He has done it this season yeah, but imo for the most part of the first season in the prem, he wasnt bothered.

                          Exactly.
Would make very little sense to offload Joey right now.

                              Each to their own.

I wouldn't say he wasn't bothered, just had some off performances.
