Defoe will cost QPR £6m

I think if we were to get Defoe it would be on a lone so they can get him off the pay roll for a season similar to what we have done with Park. I don't know why he has fallen out of favour at Spurs as hes a top striker

West Acton Spurs have moved on since Harry has left. They now feel a serious contender for a top 4 spot and they've signed some real quality in the summer. I can see why Defoe doesn't fit in but you will understand when you see Soldado

Don't know if this has been mentioned reading the People it seems to read Parker can go for free we have to pick up his 70k wages ,but goes on to say Defoe would cost a fee plus wages 2 senior players of quality for 6m not bad if correct in todays market for a lower premier club not for us tho

Defoe is a class striker and although 6m seems high for a 30 year old with probably no money back after a few seasons surely we have to look at the bigger picture, whats it worth financially to get promotion. Him and Austin would rip the championship apart imo.

There's a lot of knickers getting twister on this thread over a signing that's less likely to happen than most. But let's face it, IF we could get Defoe for £6M it would be the single best signing in the history of our Club.
As for the fee, how much did Norwich pay for Hooper and how does his scoring record in the Premier league stack up against Defoe? Obviously it doesn't yet so look back at the end of the season and see if a similar fee for a 25 year old with no PL scoring record is better value for money?
