I just interpreted that article differently than others have. It comes across as Derry making sure everyone knows he was one of the 'white hats'. It's also nothing he hasn't said before.

I just think slagging off your teammates in public like that is unnecessary and doesn't help.

I agree with the above, and yes, Derry is not distancing himself from blame, he saisd including us players.
To me that suggests that perhaps he along with others, wasn't as welcoming to the highly paid players as could have been. We could all see how divided they looked on the pitch during most games.

Hopefully, the lessons have been fully learned by the board and IF QPR get the chance to play in the Premier League again with this Board, they will do things a bit differently and not try and aim for a top ten finish in the 1st or 2nd season, by signing 'names' on big wages and instead give the promotion winning players a chance by adding one or two established players to the squad in pre-season and then perhaps another 2 in the January window.

For me the am should be stay up, consolidate and then perhaps look to push on.

I bet it made him feel a lot better he achieved what he had worked all his football life for top tier football and some over paid ponces took it away from him not by a lack of skill but by lack of effort ,you might call them teammates I bet he wouldn't call them mates of any discription

I'd love him to stipulate who the shirkers were but I think the fact park was excused along with mackie from the list shirkers, it's safe to say all of the deportees were on that list!!love to know who remains to be shifted...

Of course everyone knew there were divisions in the camp, and that some players pulling their weight, and for exactly that reason this was unnecessary.

How does it help anything now? It just seems like a bit of a self-serving interview from a player on his way out of the club (as it seems he may end up at Millwall permanently)

i like Derry as a player and totally respect his contribution to QPR, just in case I'm misinterpreted.

He's a gobby git and probably caused a lot of the issues coz he can't keep his opinions to himself. He's got no talent so tries to run around (like Park) and thinks that's acceptable.
