    Really?

Hope this is true but can't see it personally, Spurs won't loan him again - it will be a permanent move wherever he goes.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

How the hell did it get from OP being 80% sure to signing on loan on Friday?

It's still not certain that Bale is staying at Spurs, so I doubt if Townsend will be going anywhere.
Unless he has asked to leave.

Interview with Townsend in the standard yesterday said he either wants to move on a perm or play on the wing at Spurs.

If a prem club comes in he'll join them. If he does join us i reckon it'll be a deadline day thing again.

Well he's nopt going to be playing in the first team for Spurs week in week out, so may as well move. AS for a prem side who may go down, he may prefer us under Harry who knows him, he's played for us and may think it'll only be one year outside the prem and a full season of first team football will be good for him.

            Never say never.

Of course, but unless a really established team comes in for him, he may see us as less risk and an easier option.

I don't think Steve had his glasses with him. It was probably Crouch he saw and not Townsend.....:=):

                            Question is :

What is 91% of Booooooommmm ?
"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."
