Tend to agree with you Matty. Peter has done his reputation no favours with the last transfer window but hes not wanted at WBA and there appears a lack of options for him. Take transfer window out of it is he better then what we currently have up top (Remy aside) and would he improve our forward line then to me the answer is resounding yes

Rhodes would be an immense signing but cannot see Rovers sanctioning it

This is exactly why we shouldnt. Why pay £10m in this day and age for a player who's never ever played top flight football. That price point is ridiculous for such a player when you see the sort of actual class strikers who go for much less..... Loic Remy to name but one, current France International for £8m.

For me Blackburn over paid for Rhodes last season I think partly to keep the fans at bay given what was going on. If you could get him for the same cost as Hooper was going to come great but not a penny more

Rhodes would cost more like £12m minimum considering what they paid and his goals last season. Well over-priced but guarantees a lot of goals. Odem would be good too but unless he aint moved by deadline day I cannot see him dropping down to us freely
