Some good points made by the OP- I still think our team is one that will draw an awful lot of games, even with Hooper.

Little if any creativity at all from what I can see at the moment.

2 years in the Premier League and you think we are gonna buy the league. Some of you have become everything you claimed you once hated in football fans who support big teams.

"I want a new stadium, I want Hooper, I want Austin, where's our new training ground, why have we not got an adidas kit yet, i want i want i want....etc etc"

Its embarassing reading this forum at times.

TBlock, I think it's more a case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. IOW don't look at the signings individually but what they will bring to the squad and dressing room as a whole.

With regard to your second point, this is probably the very reason Dunne was only given a one year contract, and Henry two years (being the slightly younger player).

            Green

            Simpson Onouha Dunne (Suk Young)

doesn't seem to shabby to me , though I know nothing about the Korean but early reports sound promising.

The window is a long way from closed and once it is, we can still loan players so the rush is not the same as for the Premier league. Op is correct that we needed to build from the back and Harry had/has a lot of dross to shed too.
As I said on another thread, the way this team is being assembled has many similarities to what Harry did with Pompey: Solid foundations through age and experience being built and hopefully some jelly and ice cream to follow.

So you honestly think players like Remy (who'll probably stay), AJ, Hoilett, SWP, Adel (who may well stay), Granero (if we dont offload), Faurlin and Jenas can't create anything against championship teams.....?? Not to mention the FB's Simpson and Suk bombing forward also......

We will most likley offload a couple of these, but if so may well bring in others.

WE shouldn't be fearing the Championship with the players we have at our disposal. Harry now has the chance to start a fresh on a level [playing field with everyone so no excuses. We should be at least competing, if not dominating the league.

Not sure about dominating but I totally agree that we have nothing to fear with the players we have. Competing at this level should be a given.

You only get it if you're a good boy though. Any foot stamping and toy throwing if we don't sign the first flair player hinted on here and it's brussell sprouts and cabbage all year through
