I think AJ will surprise a lot of people though. No reason why he shouldn't fully recover from an ACL injury since he has had surgery and a good long time to recover. He has looked really sharp in the training and friendly games I have seen. He seems to want to stay and play for us and if he can stay fit he could still tear up a few championship defences.

Still not sure I would want to completely rely on him though.

I think you answered this yourself. we dont want to rely on Johnson to stay fit and score - he hasnt exactly been prolific over the last few years and at his age he is not likely to hit peak form again.

Zamora looks like he is ready to retire which is probably why he was struggling go get into the Fulham side before Hughes decided to waste 6m to buy him.

Yep, scored all his goals in only 1 game all season

Does run fast like a terrier after players though but as a striker lets be honest he is not the man

Appearances over the last four seasons:

        2009–10 8
        2010–11 27
        2011–12 14
        2013-13 3

We play 46 games in the league alone this season.

If he stays fit all season Johnson will tear this division to pieces

Good with assists and can weigh in with up to 10 goals but wont play all games this season. Great squad player if we can keep him injury free.

Scored 19 goals in 6 years, no thanks
Wow those stats are truly shocking! Did our management team not look at these before signing him? Jesus wept.....

Great player when fit, but unfortunately I would be surprised if he made more than 5-10 appearances this season.

His record suggests he won't play many games this season, and his goals tally suggests he won't score many either.

He's too much of a risk to be considered first, second or even third choice striker because his record over the last four years is not good. From the figures quoted, his average appearances are 13 games a season scoring 3 goals per season.

Even if he played the full 46 league games his return average would be 11 goals. Yes, he will be playing in a lower league, but that is negated by the fact he is older now and the long injury lay-offs are bound to have taken their toll on him.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

If that IS the case then I would have him in the squad. More than our top goal scorer last season!

I've lost faith in Zamora, but yes let's give Johnson a chance. The only worry is that he is injury prone. Hope he can get fit to al least get the chance to prove some doubters wrong.

You know I like this idea because diving will at least reduce the chance of him getting injured as well :meaw:
