You've banged on about the lack of 'quality' a couple of times in this thread. How often have you seen Simpson and Dunne, as these are the only two signings we've made to date? Simpson looks good and Dunne hasn't even put the shirt on yet!

As for Henry, if he does sign, he should be given a fair go. We might not play pretty football next season but it's all about results, not 'quality'.

If you want 'quality', try and sign the likes of Messi and Bale......
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

If we had Van Gaal as a coach he would not have bought Dunne, Simpson or even maybe Henry but given his trust in Harriman, Doughty, Ehmer and surely Sutherland above Zamora.
            Why don't we try ??

As much as I wanna give Karl Henry a 'fair go', you have to say that it looks like a very bad signing. Wrong side of 30, disliked by the Wolves fans, 2 successive relegations, well known loudmouth who has rubbed up our own players in the past......and we're paying a transfer fee for him! I would also say that what we need is creativity in the midfield and not another defensive midfielder.

I really hope that Harry knows what he's doing with this one!

I wouldn't expect that we'd be signing both of them. I'm guessing O'Neil isn't coming which is a shame cos I rate him a lot higher than Karl Henry!

Regards people referring to the "quality" required; I do agree - but you need a solid foundation of grafters in order for the "quality" players to have any effect at all.

Just take a look at the season we won the league; Adel was the man getting all the plaudits (rightly so tbf!) with his goals & assists, but without the likes of Hill & Derry he wouldn't have been able to do what he does. The fact Harry is sorting out our fundamentals & getting the bread & butter players in is a good sign - we need some bite & players that will fight on the cold Tuesday nights oop north - as I've already said on this thread, this season is a long old slog.

Add a striker or 2 into the mix now, and bear in mind we still have Adel on the books plus Hoilett is like a forgotten man that has the potential to take this division by storm (casting aside the shambles that was last season and remembering the excitement about us signing him when we were a PL side, let alone Championship!) and we have the makings of a bl00dy side.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Then don't expect promotion back to the Prem.

Too much 'bread and butter' matty and they'll be no room for any pudding.
