We've afforded him more leeway than any other club would ever have done.

We've ''treated'' him with the number 10 shirt, the Captain's armband, made him one of our highest paid players and have stood by him after numerous on and off the field debacles.

99.9% of posters on this board would give their right arm to play just one game for the club. He acts as if he is doing us a favour and thinks so little of us that he can barely be bothered to come to training.

Would happily drive him to Marsille myself, although he'd have to be in the boot as i couldn't put up with his constant drivel about ''Milan want me'' ''i'm off to Barca next week'' ''i'm Adel Taarabt and I'm the best player in the world''

Good post mate especially like those highlighted bits . Sums it well how footballers don't really understand what they have. The 10 shirt is special. I know some of us get on his back but you have to perform

Why fans still compare adel to some of the new mob is beyond me. Those 3 have done nothing for my club ever. Compare to derry, hill, mackie but not to those wasters.

Strange one from Neil Warnock accusing Taarabt of having attitudes problem in his book, yet kept him a captain till the end of 20110/12 season.

we got ourselves into a situation with him where we made him feel like he was the club, this led to him thinking he could do as he pleases. this is clearly bad for him and bad for us, but once youve opened that door you cannot shut it again. it would be better for all involved if we grew accustomed to a life after adel. i dont think having him behave like he does sometimes helps dressing room morale, he gets away with it while other are castigated.

I think Adel is a fantastic player but this is a good decision. Maybe now we can set up 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 formations without having to try and accomodate Adel in a free role that clearly doesnt work for us with the playing staff we have.
