Newcastle to offer £6m plus Taylor for Loic Remy (Mirror)

Newcastle Alan Pardew is making a player-plus-cash deal for QPR’s French striker Loic Remy.

Pardew is willing to sacrifice centre-half Steven Taylor and pay around £6million to Rangers for the hot shot who tried but failed to keep them up.

Would be a great deal if true. 6mil would get us Hooper aswell or another decent striker. So 2 players for one.

Celtic rejected £7m I think it was from Norwich. Reckon they want £9m or £10m for him.

I think Remy is worth more than Hooper.

        What's Taylor worth?

£3-5m I'd say, very good player.

definately! I like Taylor but there are cheaper centre backs out there, i'd rather we have a striker who would be banging in goals left right and centre every single game.

No deal. Remy will win the league for us, simple as that. We have to do everything possible to keep him. Plus it's all lies. Why would Newcastle offer that fee plus Taylor when Remy has a buyout clause for 6.8m?!

I think Remy's buy out clause is 8 million. Still not sure why Newcastle would want to sign somebody who is on bail. If we do sell him make sure there's a clause saying they are stuck with him if he is found guilty.

Why are we always looking for midfielders only? We desparately need a proven striker. Zamora and Johson are injury prone.

I get your point Matty it's always good to have a proven goal scorer but our defence has been so shyte I suppose H could be prepared to go against his footballing ideals and go for the old safer but duller route of not losing games before winning them

Decent enough player but a right c*ck. Remember his hand ball a few years ago when he pretended to be shot? Also when we played them the season before last and they had a fre kick on the edge of our box and Paddy was trying to line our wall up he stood about five feet away blocking his view, and moving every time Kenny did to get in his way and put him off. Prize kn*b.

Yeah but that's the sort of thing we wasn't doing no concentration or game plan at the back
