He's being paid handsomly so get him training with the rest of the squad & if no offers for him play him. One thing I will say about this cretin is I guarantee if he plays he'll give 100% for the cause he's not a lazy player by any stretch. Absolutely no point paying him up. Use the same money you would use for a pay off to make him train & if selected by Harry play.

Totally agree Ric, if no offers come in why should we pay him off? We already paid half his wages in France last season!

I suppose the only argument for paying him off is the fact he could be disruptive if kept here against his will!

I agree mate. In that case train with the kids away from first team squad. Make him earn his £3m he's after the cheeky ba%tRd!

If he'd take a mil fair enough but knowing him he'll want every penny due Although he's barely earned 20% of that.

Lol. His inflated self-worth coming to the fore again.

            Typical narcissist.

I assume Barton has been fined for failing to turn up , the cretin Ric is the mans agent willie McKay who ironically is responsible for flooding the game in this country with French Africans and mostly poor ones as well. Now here is an interesting fact both Harry and Willie owned a racehorse together and were as far as I'm a aware very good friends probably due to Harry's love of a brown envelope if you know what I mean. So unless they have fallen out the Barton situation is something that can be dealt with if that's what Redknapp wants. My guess is Redknapp doesn't as building team morale is the priority and the last thing you probably want is throwing that idiot Barton into the equation

                from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_R...ons_and_arrest

"In the final report of the Stevens inquiry published in June 2007, the only criticism of Redknapp concerned his ownership of a racehorse named "Double Fantasy" thought to have been given to him by the agent Willie McKay, which has aroused some suspicion. Redknapp told the inquiry that it was possible that he did own the horse but insisted that he had not made any money out of it because the horse was a failure and never won a race."

                possible? like he'd forget...

I would not let Barton within 100 miles of our youngsters, we don't want him corrupting their young minds.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

If he wants to go i am sure he could negotiate a payoff. He is being greedy so until he sees sense its the ressies at harlington.

Pay him nothing .... He trains with the first team and plays to his full potential or he goes off to train with the reserves, kids..

I reckon knowing he has no other option he will play.. A fit Barton playing to his potential would be a welcome asset to the side....

I see it as a win win for us

If Barton is really keen to join Marseille, then he could easily cancel his contract with us for free to join them.
