Too much pressure last 2 seasons to be the man he was in the Championship

Expected better from him but overall most players were terrible even those who joined having a good reputation for playing in the Prem were useless

He knows deep down he was not the man he thought he would be in the Prem but cant blame him with the crapp around him not giving him the support a player needs

I really think the best is yet to come from him and want him to stay as we all saw what he is capable of in the Championship

In Warnocks book he said that we were going to sell him to PSG but it wasn't worth it coz of the huge % spurs will get, that is why i reckon he will stay.

He does look leaner in the pre season

If you have not read Warnocks book yet read it. I cannot believe the S**t Tarabbt pulled , he is the most un professional player i have ever seen.

Still like him tho and would like to see some more of his skills next season

he's got 10 games max to prove he's the player he could be. if he fails for whatever reason then fc uk him off. i rate the chap but he showed nothing for two managers-for me he has a small time limit to prove he's worth it. strops are over,petulance-over, weight issues-over.i've been totally guilty of being easy with his frailties but you can only stand up for a carefree attitude for so long. we have had a lot of footballers in my time as a rangers fanatic who are rangers and have never had the honor of being a captain of the club so i find it amazing that he seems so blaise about our club. no joy-passion-love....laters in jan at a profit no matter how big.

Looks like now he has realised he is not as good as he and his agent thought. I would guess he will now put better efforts to prove himself and perhaps have another great season with better attitudes and teamwork.

No one wants him, wonder why.
Tony Fernandes already tweeted he had fined 4 players in pre-season, so there will be no more discipline problems among the players from now on!

if there is lack of discipline already and 4 players have already been fined then we are in trouble.
Those 4 players shouldnt be anywhere near the team. Sell them or tell them to stay away from training, not what we need after a disastaerous season where lack of passion and discipline were at the heart of our problems.

Hence Barton and Diakite's omission from the tour presumably.

In the middle of it at the moment...agree with the above posters. The disrespect he had (think we should remember this was 2 years ago) for his team mates and management alike was unbelievable.

Still reckon he'd thrive in a Prem club that's doing well. He's got all the ability to become a top player, just needs to sort out his head. Also, Abit annoying that he's lost weight now and not all throughout last season. Agree about Warnocks book, surprised Derry didn't smash his face in at times.

Back to the itk topic, saw something on twitter that he's gone over to either Dubai or Monaco...probably BS though.

Getting rid of him could be just what we need to create a team. But again, who knows? Given him the benefit of the doubt; I would keep him for being the magician we all know he can be.

Exactly, well said. I am sure Tony Fernandes will not tolerate anything that will hinder team preparation for the new season.

                                shouldn't have lost the captaincy
