    100% agree with the OP.

Credit Harry et al with some intelligence in respect of knowing that a). Parker is never going to manage every game but would add much needed steel and leadership and b). As far as I am aware Crouch stays fit and whilst he might be in his early 30's that's hardly ancient is it and they'll almost certainly have younger strikers in the squad too.... Plus a two year deal would make sense in respect of helping to get us promoted and an experienced head if we get back up....

Blimey, we are a small club with a sh1te ground and fickle fan base who are lucky enough to have a geezer with shed loads of dough so lets have some perspective huh.... We should be honoured thayt players of the calibre of Parker and Crouch could possibly grace LR next season....
Couldn't agree more. Those two added with two or three younger players to add to the returning Faurlin and QPR would have a realistic chance next season, especially if Remy stays and is a free man in October after his trial.

Agreed. Signing those two are no brainers really. If Harry can get it done of course which will be difficult because they are not flavour of the month.

If we would have had these two in the squad last year, we may have stood a chance of staying up.

I'd love them to come here providing we don't over pay them or any other player. I feel that we are a club that should be able to attract good footballers with Harry in charge, along with a good chance of a promotion push.

I'd take Crouch only because I don't rate Zamora whatsoever but no to Parker for me, legs have gone. Would rather splash out on Bridcutt who will be on lower wages also.

Careful, you will be labelled as 'not having a clue' because you don't agree with the majority on here.

For what its worth id be reasonably happy with the 2 mentioned but hope Harry does also look to bring in some young up and coming players and not just flood our squad with players knocking on into their 30's

I think that I stated in my original post that we would ideally have SP and PC with some younger players too as others have also stated we need a mixture of experience and pups to get us out of the marathon that is the Championship....

Personally, im throwing a lot of faith into harry this season as i think he has a lot to prove. His entire reputation hangs on getting us back up and he has said himself that if it goes wrong he needs to step back and take a long hard look at his future in football.
If he thinks parker and crouch are what we need then im behind him on that. It was the same with jenas and townsend; people on here slating them when they first came in but they turned out to be pretty shrewd appointments. Now everyone wants to sign townsend and i havent heard anyone slate jenas to point of wanting him gone.
Its healthy to debate stuff but some just sound like spoilt little brats on here.

I do believe both could do an amazing job in the championship ( and Crouch is a player i have always had a soft spot for ) BUT.....
I dont want us to come up again with a team that we will have to rebuild in the prem , like we did before and failed............
We need players who are going to be here 4 or 5 years who can play in the ELP. We do not want to keep rebuilding every year. We do not want to buy players coming to the end of their careers.

I agree with you mate. I'd be happy with Crouch and Parker because you know they will give 100% for sure, but I'd hope we also bring in some up and coming younger players, who are just as good.

You've seen enough of Scott Parker to say that his legs have gone then? Could you say which games you saw please? Would be nice to see if there's any videos on YouTube that support your claim.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Whenever I saw Parker playing for Spurs last season (who finished 5th in the league, not too shabby....) he looked pretty damn good (no homo). No sign of legs going at all.

Would be intersting to hear the views the people that don't want Parker hold on our Derry? For the record, no dig at Derry, I like him & would like him in the squad next year.

That's what makes me laugh about this board, soon as we are linked with someone there's about 50 experts on here about the player. Linked with bridcutt? Oh he's mustard, sign him up (because he fits young n hungry category)

Parker could join. Na just another who's past it legs have gone etc

Some serious jokers on here, would have crouch n Parker in a heartbeat
