Oh and putting my biased view to one side, it would be a great shame to see Townsend playing championship football. Should be plying his trade is a mid table premier league side with his ability and good luck to him. Yes i'd love it if we signed but you can't blame him for not really even considering us. Good post mate but must remember prior to his what 12 games with us Townsend had not shown the form that he had at his previous loans in lower divisions. I would love to sign him up and think he defo has it in his locker to go further but although we as QPR fans have been raving about him it don't mean those outside of W12 think he is as good as we think after all we were starved of entertainment and were ready to latch on to anything we thought could be the answer.

As Ric says Levy is shrewd and we did get Adel on the cheap but Levy and Harry do appear to have a decent relationship and he did cut us a deal on wages in bringing Townsend and Jenas to us so.

I think £4mil would be the top end of any transfer fee for him by any club, I think a fair price is anything between £3 and £4mil as as it stands its potential your getting not the finished article

Reading NW's book he enquired to Mr Levy about Naughton in the summer we went up on loan, and was told by Daniel if he took Jenas & Keane for £8mill
he'd throw Naughton in as well......This was around the time when Flav & Bernie refused to put anymore money in.

If Shelvey was sold for £5m, then definitely yes.
