80's memories

Looking theiugh some old 80's threads and remember the Irish chap skinny with gingerish (strawberry blond then) who used to run with our hoolies at the time (I was a bit young)

I remember him and about 15-20 R's trying to take the north bank one year, was a funny sight. They were lead around the pitch after they're rucking.

Is he still about?? Matured a bit?

I was there that day couldn't believe the way they were just led out of the north bank around the pitch and put into our end,how things have changed, I suppose in the 80's it was classed as a bit of friendly banter !!!!

yes i think we had a best/biggest set of lads 82-86............bit downhill after til which is basically nothing today!

Same geezer (I wont mention his name) got put away for a short sentence following the big off on the pitch at Ipswich. He was a top fella, there were some good faces around that era.

well wests ive seen a few teams take berties at ours last few years!...next year will get even worse....derby/leicester/charlton all likey to come in numbers we dont have!

and hiding on stairwells when wall came a calling....not saying we couldve stopped that lot but yee gods shouting 'you mugs' from the safety up there n posting it on youtube was embarrising to say the least....at least the few of us at westfield engaged the enemy.....briefly!

If you lot could keep it as far away from the ground as possible next season, if you must have your pose offs with the opposition fans, the rest of us would be very grateful.
