Joey thought he was way too good for the club when we were in the Prem and made no secret of telling every player every week about how good he was and how he was lowering his standard by playing for us, let alone now we are in the Championship.

As a player he's someone we could do with this season, however his presence back at the club adds another toxic attitude to an already terrible dressing room. Get rid in my opinion.

I've posted this before, but some of you have VERY short memories. In a lot of games he was absolutely PONY, his passing especially was woeful.Remember the cheers when he got taken off against Liverpool? All season we've spoken about a split dressing room with players pulling in different directions. Do we really want that poisonous, scouse big-head in there spouting BS and contributing very little on the pitch? GET RID ASAP!

This. Couldn't agree more mate. People talk about how much fight he has in him, I only saw him fight in the last couple of games in the season we stayed up.

Yeah and as said before, he had plenty of decent games for us and a bad patch, like everyone. You talk like the rest of the squad were performing well, which in itself is pathetic.

As for all this BS about upsetting the dressing room you contradict yourself by pointing out how bad it's been all season, in other words worse than when he was in it last season. You're just desperate to believe he will be the cause of problems to support the argument. It's almost as pathetic as the comment "he gets sent off every other game".

Warnock and Hughes may have tolerated that but would Harry and Joe?

Harry and Joe couldn't unify the dressing room last season.

Which is the main worry for me. What is he going to do different this season to unify them? Looks like we may be left with quite a few of the twunts from last season..... Can see it all ending in tears.

Because there were far too many splits. Hence the reason for the clearout now and bringing in the right kind of characters. Let's see...he'll have no excuses now but at least the early signs look encouraging.

I think we should make him available on a free transfer IMO. The problem the club has had is having a lot of players that nevery really wanted to play for us and joey is one of them.
He has said many times that he wants to leave and I don't see why we should keep someone that doesn't want to be here.

We have had no signs of anything yet, we probably won't know for sure if things have improved, until we get the season started.

Yes, proof is always in the pudding. But I think the Simpson signing and releasing some of the deadwood points to encouraging early signs.

If he starts focusing on playing for us and become commited, he could do like Kevin Nolan at West Ham.
