      Now Adel's the problem. Bizarre.
TBlock in fairness its not about turning on Adel after one season nor is it about making him the problem if you think back to when he joined he has been booed and criticised in every season he has been with us bar the promotion season and if memory serves me right did he not have a dodgy start with the fans at the start of the promo season?? might be wrong

I remember him being booed at Loftus Road and him threatening never to play for us again his attitude problems are not new to the club nor is the criticism of him from fans it merely became less vocal because he had one storming season since which he has had two seasons of famine.

Good player who could be better with the right application. If he as a professional player cannot be bothered to apply himself why should I as a fan be bothered to back him blindly when he in all intents and purposes is taking the p iss out of us

I put up on here the other day ....QPR fans are and always have been notoriously hard to please, at least that's how we've been portrayed in the press over the years.
Maybe it's the "snug" surroundings we have at Loftus Road (players always remark how difficult it can be to play there) but we have always it seems had a boo boy, or they
start off as a boo boy and end up a hero...Furlong/Heidarson to name 2

You defend Tarrabt but bet you are one of those critical of Mbia for saying he wants to leave or others like Granero that you perceive not to be putting in effort in. What you fail to seem to understand is Tarrabt talks of leaving every month or so and as for effort, well he can't even be bothered to challenge for balls in the air or attend training on a regular basis.

Good comments mate and the pivotal difference between Furlong and Heider in comparison to Adel (players with far less ability) they both had character, the right attitude and the will to win the crowd over. Adel lacks all those qualities he wants to be loved by the crowd but other then showboating he is not prepared to put anything else into his game to win the crowd over.

At the moment he's all about the tricks imagine if he was doing the tricks while putting in the effort he did against Chelsea away!!!! now that would be a player to get excited about

So if your a fan that is impressed by nutmegs and step overs he has dangled the carrot and your well catered for as he will give you plenty of moments to hold onto but not an awful lot of substance; for me I like a little bit of end product and consistency with the package although entertaining im not overly impressed by a nutmeg, stepover then shot which ends up wide of the goal

What's Mbia and Granero ever done for our club, ridiculous comparison, unless you get excited by a shirt being given to the crowd at the end of another debacle of a game. Can't believe you put them in the same camp.
Adel whatever his faults deserves respect, done more for us than most QPR players in generation.
As to him wanting to leave, not surprised considering the vitriol aimed at him plus he must have looked on in amazement at the clowns we got in.
From the limited knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes, the other players got on with him in the championship winning team and the interviews he gives that I've heard he's always spoken fondly for our club.
We give far to much respect for players who have done nothing for our club save for taking hefty salaries and disdain for Adel who has actually achieved something.

Very good post and I agree with pretty much all of it.

Why 1 poster is upset that Adel isn't winning headers wtf? The bloke is our most skillful player, and he had a great promotion season because we played to his strengths.
I think blame has to also be pointed at hughes and Redknapp.
Adel isn't about running back 60 yards and putting in a slid tackle but like Warnock noted his game is about being in the oppositions half and causing problems.
There are also many players in this current squad far more lazy than adel.
The fact of the matter is he's done it at championship level and you can't think too many of our newbies are going to prove that too, come the end of the season!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Westy, if you take your analogy then it should equally apply to Tony Fernandes, he hasnt applied himself with any degree of glory. Under his stewardship debts have spiralled, contracts unchecked and top it all relegation. He appears to spend most of his Saturday's abroad and when it all started to go wrong some time ago he threatened to walk out of the club if he couldn't make things better. His two years have been chaotic with the reputation and finances of the club taking a pounding. Quite easy to say he's taking the p*** out of us blah blah blah and a minority of fans do.

The majority however believe TF hearts in the right place, he appears to love the club and sometimes things go wrong but despite all the horrors he's the best thing that's happened to QPR for some time. He in essence is given the benefit of the doubt. Why is Adel treated with such lack of respect. Watching him week in week out of that Championship winning year was just breathtaking plus the end of season run for the 1st year we stayed up, that Liverpool home game I think when he just bossed it.
I accept he's got his faults but we must compare him to the clowns we currently have in the team, Adel should be one of the last with Derry and Hill to be criticised.

Unfortunately I agree with a lot of this, although I didn't used to. Last year in the first half of the season didn't he have the most amount of shots and lowest conversion rate out of anyone in the Prem. That is just down to selfishness and poor attitude.

Hugely talented player but not prepared to consistently apply himself for the good of the team.

Might want to keep him though for the start of the season to see if his heart's still in it, if it is then great could be a help to get us back up again, if not then don't play him and offload in January. Not really a risk as we won't be getting a huge transfer fee for him and 40% of it goes to Spurs anyway.

Bored with this now I didn't put Granero and Mbia in the same camp, after all they both attend training and as far as I know Granero hasn't asked to move and Mbia only did it once. There is absolutely no comparison with Tarrabt who asks for a move every few weeks and regularly misses or is late for training and then won't take part in the fitness work.

Bothroyd scored more than Tarrabt in the one season he did well in the championship do you think the Cardiff fans worship him. If you want to ignore his poor attitude and the negative effect he has on the team then fine but think carefully. We won the championship but unlike Swansea and Norwich struggled in the Prem, they had a team we had one overrated individual who couldn't cut it in the Prem and a bunch of average players and that is where our problems started. Anyone on here who wants to repeat those mistakes need to take a long hard look at themselves.
