Hope he gets a chance in the friendlies this season to show what he has got. Does anyone know how good he is?

was meant to be a talent a few years back but has not developed at all. Pompey let him go because they didnt deem him to be good enough, nothing to do with finances.

Are you sure about that? As far as I was aware Pompey were deep financial trouble at the time they let him go and were shedding staff, playing and non-playing throughout the club.

For me we should be looking at Sam Maghri, Max Ehmer, Michael Harriman, Yun Suk-Young and possibly even a few others like Mo Shariff, Emmanuel Monthe, Michael Petrasso and Peter Skapetis in pre-season. All have done well at various levels and pre-season is the perfect time to see how they gel with the first team. There has to be at least one or 2 gems hidden in our reserves, under 18's and under 21's.

When we signed him Michael Appleton said the following.....

"There have been a few young players that have gone ahead of him in the pecking order."

"We wish him all the best, but I didn't see him getting near my team this season. It's a good move for all parties."

So not even relegated Pompeys best young talent apparently

A few years back? Thought he was around 18-19 years old and an england youth regular...

Fair enough, easier statement to make to the fans than "we're f*cked and need to save a penny anywhere we can" though isn't it?

well that was my point when he was really young he was deemed a talent but doesnt seem to be developing into a first team senior player

Did we pay a fee for him? On his wiki page it says he was released by Portsmouth...

Only on a two year contract so if he is as bad as mentioned above then doubt we will retain him once the last year is up.

I'm not going to muck around, I don't take age into account when you're talking about the first team, Magri IMO isn't good enough to play for QPR. Big reputation isn't deserved ( my opinion anyway )
                            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front
